Complete a test application
We recommend running a test before your first lottery date to ensure everything is working as expected.
To run this test:
Step 1 - Adjust the dates you set
Set your scheduled lottery dates to a date within the 65-days (say open enrollment begins tomorrow for example) to trigger the countdown timer for OE begin date. When you’ve checked the countdown timer for OE begin date, you can update the date for lottery run to be tomorrow for example. When you’re done testing, set the dates back to their original dates.
Utah Law requires the Open Enrollment announcement to be posted 60 days (estimate ~2 months) in advance of the first day of the open enrollment period.
We have the lottery set up so the countdown timers start at 60-days in advance.
Step 2 - Complete a test student application
Complete a test student application from your website.
Step 3 - Ensure your communications to the family are optimal
Review the emails and text messages that are sent to you from your test application, to ensure you are satisfied with the messaging each step of the way.
